Addressing the core challenges facing Wyoming
Richard Dodson is committed to tackling the issues that matter most to the people of Wyoming. Learn about his key priorities and how he plans to create a better future for our state.

Ensuring affordability for all
Inflation is impacting every family in Wyoming, and Richard Dodson understands the pressing need to address rising costs. Whether it's the price of groceries, gas, or daily necessities, people are feeling the squeeze. Richard is dedicated to finding solutions that ease financial burdens and put more money back into the pockets of hard-working Wyomingites.
Wyoming is a vast state, and while it may be less expensive than other areas, the cost of living still presents significant challenges. Richard believes in a dual approach: mitigating the factors driving up prices and empowering individuals with greater financial stability. He will work towards policies that contribute to both, ensuring that everyone can afford to live and thrive in our community.
To tackle affordability, Richard will advocate for policies that undo ill-considered wars and tariffs that contribute to economic instability. He believes Congress must take a more active role in overseeing economic policy to protect the financial well-being of its citizens.

Promoting competent governance and accountability
It is frustrating to see public officials fail to solve problems, or worse, exacerbate them. Richard Dodson is committed to bringing competent governance to the House of Representatives. He believes in facing challenges head-on with proven strategies, rather than resorting to temporary fixes or overlooking critical issues.
The failures in governance, including public corruption and incompetence, directly harm the daily lives of Wyoming citizens, adding to financial strain and allowing criminals to escape justice. Richard will fight to ensure that those in power are playing by the rules and will hold them accountable when they are not. He believes Congress must step up its game in upholding the principles enshrined in the Constitution by the Founding Generation.
Richard is determined to see public officials focus on effective solutions and transparent operations. He will advocate for policies that ensure accountability, prevent misuse of public funds, and restore trust in our government.

Investing in ending homelessness
Ending homelessness is not an expense; it's an investment in our communities and our economy. While Wyoming's homelessness problem may be more manageable than in other states, it is still a critical issue that demands attention. Richard Dodson believes that housing people is ultimately more cost-effective than maintaining their homelessness.
By helping individuals stabilize their housing and connect them to the regular economy, we create new wealth, reduce expenses, and foster a stronger, more inclusive society. Richard recognizes that we know what it takes to end homelessness; fully implementing and committing to proven solutions. When people have stable housing, they can contribute more effectively to the economy, reducing the need for costly emergency services and "handouts."
The real key to ending homelessness in the US is going to be prevention, by which we mean fostering and encouraging more affordable housing. For every person who is housed by the homeless services system in this country there is at least one person who is newly homeless. In California, where there is a serious affordability crisis in housing, that replacement ratio is usually 2 to 1.
Richard will champion initiatives that fully fund and implement evidence-based strategies for ending homelessness and work to help states and communities affordably house the people who make everything happen. This benefits everyone, including taxpayers, by transforming lives and strengthening our communities.
